COVID-19 Update

(Updated 5/22) We are sorry to say that our summer shelter will not operate this year. Although HSHS will remain closed for the next few months, we are hopeful that we will be able to operate our winter shelter in November with health precautions in place. We will make any decision to operate in consultation with public health officials, PBHA, University Lutheran Church, and our partners in the City of Cambridge. Updates will be posted on our website.

If you were unable to pick up your belongings stored at HSHS before the end of our regular season, please email us at [email protected] or leave a voicemail for Matias Ramos at (617) 496-8710. We will work with you to coordinate another time. We will also post information on our website and update our voicemail to reflect any changes.

Assistance with Stimulus Payments

Our Resource Advocacy Team is offering assistance with the process of claiming a stimulus payment, a payment of $1,200 from the federal government through the CARES Act in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Anyone with a Social Security number and an income below $99,000 is eligible for this payment. If you have questions about this payment or the process of claiming it, please call or email us.

Donations

Thank you to the dozens of people who have generously supported HSHS in the past few weeks. At this time, we cannot accept any more in-kind donations. Information about monetary donations to cover the cost of our COVID-19 response can be found here.
